So, for anyone and everyone because you are all too many to name individually who had a part in Danielle getting into a stander, learning to drive a specialized motorized wheelchair developed just for her, to learn to ride a bike and walk on a treadmill; for teaching her how to use a computer with a head mouse-and with a stylus, for affording her the ability to scratch her nose and feed herself, to peel a potato; for teaching her to read, to tell time and do basic math — for her education and life skills; for letting her experience karaoke and bowling, windsurfing and skiing, for working with her to develop speech and to swallow safely, for teaching her everything about her medications and when to take them, for letting her experience horseback riding, swimming, summer camp, relaxation techniques, reiki; for cleaning her glasses and for just plain listening; for taking care of her medical needs, her dental needs, her orthopedic, vision, gastro and neurology appointments; for teaching her how to grieve and to cope with her feelings of sadness, and all her other feelings; for affording her the time and place to develop and nuture friendships that will be with her long into life, for her wonderful trip to Disney, a trip she will never forget nor the people that cared for her and lifted her onto every single ride; and for helping at her endless IEP meetings; for doing all her banking, for finding MFP and a safe, beautiful new place to live.
